November through February:
- The information center is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
- Open Wednesday through Sunday from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

March through May:
- The information center is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Accessibility, parking and accessibility
Accessibility by car or bus
The Portaal van Vlaanderen is about a 30-minute drive from Goes, Middelburg and Vlissingen and a 40-minute drive from Ghent (Belgium). Also from the coast (Cadzand, Nieuwvliet, Groede and Breskens) the information center is easily accessible at about 30 min.
Ample parking is available at the information center. Navigation parking lot: Kennedylaan 9, Terneuzen.
For buses, there is an opportunity for visitors to get on and off directly at the entrance. One of our volunteers will direct the bus driver to a suitable parking space.
Electric car charging points
You can charge your electric car at several locations in the municipality of Terneuzen. The current list of locations where you can do so can be found at www.oplaadpalen.nl.

Accessibility by public transportation
About 2 kilometers from the Portal of Flanders is the Westerschelde bus station.

Parking
You can park your car about 200 meters from the Portaal van Vlaanderen. On the parking deck above the stores of the Kennedy Retail Park, Kennedylaan 9. Then take the stairs or elevator down and walk left around the shopping center. Take the first left and walk to the waterfront. There you will find the entrance to the Portal of Flanders.

Fewer mobile visitors
The Portal of Flanders is also accessible to less mobile visitors. The information center has an adapted toilet.
Coming with a wheelchair? Please notify us in advance. Wheelchairs can be transported on our trains provided it is folded. The visitor can be helped into the train if necessary. Wheelchairs can be transported on the tour boat provided that the visitor, if necessary with assistance, can make the step onto the boat himself.
