Groups from 10 people can also book outside opening hours.
October to March:
- The information center is closed from Sunday to Tuesday.
- Open Wednesday to Saturday from 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
- Lock complex tours on Saturdays at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.
April:
- The information center is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
- Open Tuesday to Saturday from 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
- Lock complex tours on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.
May:
- The information center is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
- Open Tuesday to Saturday from 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
- Lock complex tours and cruises on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.
June:
- The information center is closed on Mondays.
- Open Tuesday to Sunday from 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
- Lock complex tours and cruises on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.
July and August:
- Open daily from 10am to 5pm.
- Lock complex tours and cruises at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.
September:
- The information center is closed on Mondays.
- Open Tuesday to Sunday from 12:30 PM – 5:00 PM.
- Lock complex tours and cruises from Tuesday to Sunday at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.
Bereikbaarheid, parkeren en toegankelijkheid
Accessibility by car or bus
The Portal of Flanders is approximately a 30-minute drive from Goes, Middelburg and Vlissingen and a 40-minute drive from Gent (Belgium). The information center is also easily accessible from the coast (Cadzand, Nieuwvliet, Groede and Breskens) in about 30 minutes.
There is ample parking space at the information center. Navigation parking lot: Kennedylaan 9, Terneuzen.
For buses, there is the opportunity to let visitors get on and off directly at the entrance. One of our volunteers refers the bus driver to a suitable parking space.
Accessibility by public transport.
The Westerschelde bus station is located approximately 2 kilometers from the Portal of Flanders.

Parking
You can park your car at approximately 200 meters from the Portal of Flanders. On the parking deck above the shops of the Kennedy Retail Park, Kennedylaan 9. Then take the stairs or elevator down and walk left around the shopping center. Take the first left and walk to the waterfront. There you will find the entrance to the Portal of Flanders.

Less mobile visitors
The Portal of Flanders is also accessible to less mobile visitors. The information center has an adapted toilet.
Are you coming with a wheelchair?
Let us know in advance. Wheelchairs can be transported on our trains if they are folded. The visitor can get some help to get on the train. Wheelchairs can be transported on the tour boat, provided that the visitor, possibly with help, can make the step on the boat.
