Lock complex tour and maritime walk

Ship Ahoy! Ships used to be greeted with this cry. Now we like to greet you in Terneuzen, the city connected to the Scheldt, the locks and shipping.

Get on the train and be surprised by our (maritime) stories. Our guide knows the maritime history of the city. During a short walk you will get acquainted with the old center of Terneuzen. You can always come back later, terraces galore!

At the imposing locks you see gigantic ships from very close up. Can you touch them or does it just seem that way? Locking the ships is an art in itself. Do you know what happens?
